I wish you were here
By my side
Sitting there waiting
While I'm holding my pillow tight
So far away from here you are
The miles between us
Are tearing us apart
I miss the way we used to be
We'd laugh and cry
We'd joke yet lie
Not wanting to get closer
To one another
Too afraid
To let one in
Not wanting them
To see your sin
The closer we got
The farther it seemed
The miles are what kept you from me
You live your life
I'm living mine
But It's just not the same
Without you by my side
