Chapter 2A Chapter by Xxhoe_muffinxXMy room is dark and it scares me. I can hear things, they're not normal things. This isn't the thump you hear at night. These are voices. I hear a man's voice outside my window. That's nearly impossible. I live on the second floor. They must be on the fire escape.
"Are you really sure, Jacob?" a man's voice said. Why does that name seem familiar? "Father, I'm sure," he lowered his voice, "she looks just like her." At that moment I decided to turn on some music. I got up and flipped on the lightswitch. I seen that my ipod was on the table and I hurried to grab. I nearly flew to my bed when I turned off the light switch because I herd foot steps outside of my door. I didn't turn it on, instead I listened. The footsteps grew louder and louder. Then they stopped. I looked towards my door. Under there was a gap where the light from hall came in. There were no shadows. They must have stopped next door. What would two men have anything to do with my neighbor? She always seemed distant.
Were they gone? This kept running through my mind. I finally laid back down and turned on my ipod. It almost didn't seem that there was music blasting in my ears. I was into so much deep thought. Why did that name seem familiar? Do I need to call the cops? Was he the guy that's been stalking me for the past few nights? I surely hope not. I really didn't need any problems. So many things keep running through my mind. They won't stop! I'm beginning to get a headache. Then my windows open. I feel hands on my forehead and suddenly I fall asleep.
The next morning I wake up to my alarm. I look at it then get up and look at my calendar. It's Satuday. I decide to call my mom. I pick up my cell phone and dial in her number. "Hello?" my mother's sweet voice answer's the phone. "Mom?" I say nearly crying. She can hear it in my voice. "Oh sweetie! Are you ok? Do I need to come get you?" She's worried. As she keeps talking I take the phone and put it against my chest. I let out a loud sigh and allow a few more tears to fall from my cheeks. I put the phone back up to my ear. "Did something happen to you?" she asked. "No mom. To be honest I have no idea why I'm crying. Mom, I had a dream last night. Can we talk about it?" I asked. I could hear her small laugh. "Of course baby. You can talk to me about anything," she replied. I loved how my mom was always so peppy. I don't think he's ever frowned. Even when I was raped she kept smiling. She said that being upset wouldn't help me a single bit. She was right. I loved having the relationship I have with my mother. "I was laying in bed and it was dark, very dark. I could hear something that I didn't like." My mom gasp into the phone. "Was it another one of those dreams?" I sighed. "No mom, it was worse. They were voices. I herd two men. One was younger than the other. The younger one was Jacob. The other guy was his father, but I didn't catch a name." I said. "Well hunny, what else? I know your dreams are very vivid." she replied. Should I tell my mom about the people that came into my window? Should I tell her this wasn't a dream? I decided I was going to lie to her. "There's nothing else mom. That's all I remember. I'm sorry." © 2011 Xxhoe_muffinxXAuthor's Note
