The Rape of Innocence

The Rape of Innocence

A Poem by Adora.xo
"

Blah

"

It's all black and white now,

What used to be.

Time has blurred the visions,

That I used to see.

Her eyes were dark embers,

Reigning the innocent in.

Her dainty fingers were miles long,

Itching to commit lustful sin.

Her lips were red with the blood,

That made my life so frail.

Her skin tasted of honey,

Sugar plums, and betrayal.

It's all grey now,

What I thought could be,

Time has shown me a truth,

A truth that was me.

This is fantastic. My favorite lines were It's all grey now,

What I thought could be,

Time has shown me a truth,

A truth that was me.

Hello Adora,

I will agree that this is very powerful and very real. I don't want to assume, but it has a very strong feeling behind this. Which is great....great being that you were able to make me feel the loss. Of innocence.....

A very sombering poem. Excellent write Adora.

Regards,

Matthew

powerful and real, the title speaks the bold, sorrowful meaning and the words that follow are an all to common tragedy that know one deserves,
such guilt and pain, you know how to bring your words to life adora.
you are talented. keep it up.
