Waking UpA Poem by Adora.xoErm, I just woke up when I wrote this... so um not so great... lolThe wisps of light From the rising sun, Greet her in the morning Easing another day’s run. The welcomed warmth, Of beaded hot water, The ache of tired eyes, An ache that never matters. The soft echoes of a yawn And the satisfying morning stretch, Blinking away her dreams, Images that she needs to catch. One slow step at a time now Thoughts running back to mind, Savouring the bitter-sweet warmth Of the coffee she had trouble to find. Watching the soft light, From the waking sun, Wishing her a good morning, And an easy day’s run.
