Warm Winter

Warm Winter

A Poem by Adora.xo
"

This poem was inspired by the snow outside and the song Make You Feel My Love by Adele

"

Beneath the snow flakes,

Under white skies,

I will warm your winter,

And hush your good-byes.

Because darling when I saw you,

My heart skipped a beat,

My breath caught in my throat,

And the cold thawed to a heat.

And when I heard my name,

On those lips I wish to savour,

Dearest my heart knew,

I had fallen much sooner than later.

Because no feeling can over-ride,

This passion I feel,

This sureness I possess,

I know this love is real.

So here beneath the snow flakes,

Under these listless white skies,

I will always be to warm your winter,

And to listen to your heart-beats and sighs.

This is how I feel. Excellent in the way that you capture this emotion of two lovers. I especially love the last stanza. Gives such a release to the poem in such a beautiful way.

Dramatic improvement, excellent composing. There are a few parts that make you go "Wow", but there are some clouds within this that just seem to be extra.

"And because sweet heart,

You're voice is my melody,

My soul needs the sound of you,

Just to live, just to breathe."

Doesn't capture the audience all too strongly. Replace or delete, either way I think it will come out better. Also, I think you change the second line from "white skies" to "listless skies" Keep it up though, this is excellent.

A outstanding poem of love and kindness. I like how you combine Winter and the emotion of love. A pleasure to read. Thank you.
