Holocaust Raindrop

Holocaust Raindrop

A Poem by Adora.xo
"

A Poem I wrote for bonus marks in History class.

"

Taste these raindrops,

Catch them as they fall,

Hold them close because

They aren’t raindrops at all.

They are the blood of millions,

Hated for a certain face,

Despised for their beliefs,

Defaced for their race.

They are the sweat of a people

Working hard to survive,

Of the people dropping off bodies,

Of their enemies who’ve died.

They are blinding tears

Of an orphaned child,

Tears of a widowed woman,

A race that has been defiled.

Taste these raindrops love,

Catch them as they fall,

Let’s hold these droplets close dear,

Because they aren’t raindrops at all...
