Tower

Tower

A Poem by Adora.xo
"

bleh

"

Every tear-stained brick,

Is cemented in regret,

And here I sit

                In my tower of grief,

Waiting for you to

climb

my

walls,

And rescue me…

                I know it isn’t fair

To leave this all up to you,

But I promise I’ll try

                To climb down too.

I’ll carve in a red stair-case

And build an open door,

I’ll fly into your arms

In ways I’ve never before.

I know the ascent seems endless

My window is high among the clouds,

But I swear I can feel you,

Getting closer than my fears allow,

So I’ll shut off my senses,

I’ll let my pulse lead me to yours,

                We’ll count our scars,

Our kisses will be the cures.

Every sorrow-stained inch

Of this tower will fall,

And for your heart,

                I’ll tear down every brick,

Because I cannot

Let

                You

                                Be

Just a dream,

Not another                          what-if.

Adora, the poem is beautiful. I like the set-up and the description.
"I’ll carve in a red stair-case
And build an open door,
I’ll fly into your arms"
The above lines were powerful and true. We must built stairways to open door to real love. No weakness in the amazing poetry of love.
