remembering to forget you

remembering to forget you

A Poem by Adora.xo
"

It is so easy

To remember…

The nights when we were one,

When I broke my promise

And lost my heart.

But somehow

I knew

From the start…

This is how it would end.

Those days when my mind

Would wander to you

And us.

Ironic how

I could feel

My heart breaking thus…

Crushed between my hopes, your dreams.

The breathless moments

When our lips collided,

And I knew no regret.

But deep inside

I knew

It’d be hard to forget…

What you did to me

Those nights and

In my dreams…

Hard to stop desire even when we know. It will brake our heart one day. I like the poem. Had the feel of real life and real thoughts. I did like the ending. Thank you for sharing the excellent poetry.

Well done... the emotion slows everything down as it's read, excellent piece.

It was a pleasure.
Sweet... leaves me wondering how far to take it - the who, what, when and why - by the bye, I cry and sigh.
