Thump

Thump

A Poem by Danielle Allison <3

She’s thrown back and forth against the walls
Of out small four bedroom apartment.
That’s all you hear at night.
Thump...Thump...

He is big and strong and
Can take her down with
Just one swing.
So he does.

She drops to the floor like
A cement block to the
Bottom of the ocean.
Tears run down my face.

They flow like and endless river.
She just sits there.
In the corner.
Her knees to her chest.

She screams as he pulls her up
By just her hair.
His eyes are filled with rage
When he was the one who cheated.

More tears.
More pain.
Thump.
Thump.

He hits her again.
This time knocking
Her completely out.
