Summer Rain.

Summer Rain.

A Poem by Sarah
"

i wrote this poem because there is nothing more that relaxes me than a simple summer thunderstorm. so i wrote this to describe how it feels to be caught in one

"
The air is thick and moist.
No birds are singing their daily tune,
No sun is shining.
A gentle drop of water tickles the tip of my nose,
Followed by many more.
I don't dare move,
For I will miss god's most magical creation;
A Summer Storm.

The pitter patter of rain drops hitting the roof tops around me calm my racing thoughts.
A crack of thunder makes me jump out of my skin,
followed by a lightening bolt.
The sight is magical.
The trees dance in the sudden winds of the storm,
and Whisper quiet secrets in my ear.
They explain the joys of life
and what it has to offer to a kind heart man.

The sky's tears come to an abrupt halt,
Stopping all sound and movement.
The earth around me is quiet and still.
Not a sound dares to disrupt this magical sight.

The sun comes to play shortly after,
followed by an archway of never ending color.
A thick and powerful smell overpowers the whole field.
Oh, my beloved sky, won't you cry again?
