being saved.

being saved.

A Poem by Sarah

I'm growing weaker. The light is fading
and darkness is taking me over. I can't
stop it. Tears fall, metal slices my veins,
and lies are told. Please don't judge me, for
I have no other reliever.

Save me from these insanities. What have
I done? I can't breathe. Be my breath.
Help me inhale the good and exhale the bad.
Be my common sense. Keep me from
dangers. Hand me a rose, not a razor.
Be my sanctuary. Keep me safe from my
childish fears. Hold me close to your heart
and never let go. Heal my wounds. Kiss my
trembling lips, wipe my tears, and whisper
to make me feel safe.

Hold my hand, feel the rapid waves of
blood flowing through my veins. Take
me for a long midnight drive and tell
me your secrets. Sing me a gentle lullaby
as i lay there entangled in your arms. Tell
me a story about the moon, for you have
saved me.
