Her Life's A Laugh

Her Life's A Laugh

A Poem by XxWhatsername86

Being regular isn't simple for me;
It's a challenge
You say that I live everyday,
being laughed at from the sidelines.
Like a hilarious movie
that's really a tragedy
So ridiculous,
so pathetic
You can't help but laugh.
But did you know this comedy,
this movie you'll never watch again,
is my life?
You'll never glance twice at me.
You won't get to know me
for who I am.
You just see the tragedy of the girl
who's trying to fit in.
Be normal.
Have friends.
She's trying so hard,
just to feel like she belongs.
But all she'll ever be is a joke to you.

Awww! Sad! I'm sorry if you're having a true struggle like this. I can see where this would really effect a person. I like how you said "...being laughed at from the sidelines". It was good and sad. I felt a helpless, hopeless feeling as I read this. Maybe that's not how you intended it, but everyone interprets things differently! Anywho, great job. :)
