BELOVED TRAGEDY

 

 

 

She needed to be loved

Her heart said no

She loathed the world around her

Every night she looked upon the dreary skies

Every night she questioned the stars

The galaxy even

Asking the un-named gods

“Why?”

Her body

Her soul

Her heart was lifeless without him

Every night she would remember

The promise

The promise to continue to fight

And fought she did

He was with her, maybe only in dreams

But she continued until the day

Her time came sooner than the stars had thought

And with that

He laid her to rest on a bed of roses
