SINGLE BLACK ROSE

SINGLE BLACK ROSE

A Poem by XxVampyrCandyXx

On an evening so very cold

there sat a girl with sadness untold

A shadow lie on the silent snow

Even on tip toes the chilled wind blows

Sorrow is what the girls heart bestowed

With erotic Misery I do suppose

Death all around her

Save one black rose

a rose, despite the ice somehow grows

This Black rose she Longley stares

For darkness surrounds her

About her straight raven hair

A deity from a throne observes this dear scene

With erotic ideas for this girl of nineteen

But the girl still grieves with the pain she still bears

Melancholy ages her youth once so fair

The deity upset feels he must intervene

and make this dark beauty his sorrow filled queen

He kisses her tears from her weeping eyes

and whispers sweet nothings, we all know are lies

But the girl still cries

for her husband hath died

The deity troubled with his continuous fail

for yet this sweet girl still bewails

He rises and speaks softly

speaking unspoken

to heal her heart which is now broken

His hands upon her breasts

letting her mourning finally rest

The deity departs from a girl once frail

skipping down through the snow covered dale

Though death still upon her eyes looks to the horizon's crest

At last to see the deity by whom she's been caressed

In the sunlight of the morrow, she tells her friends of her waning sorrow
What her friends then say do tremble her so

For she would have never known

For what she had seen was death alone
