Fade To Black

Something that came to me when I was in a rather... "deathy" mood.

i want to run, in the rain

like a streak of lightning

until i collapse, exhausted

lying in some puddle

the hollow ground into which ive fallen

motionless

freeze and wither away

cut me to peices

tear away my heart

beating, broken

cover me in roses and blood

lay me down on the dark plain

where the wind howls,

grey and mournful

like a wanderers lost soul

give me a beautiful last moment

build me a pyre

obsidian and silk

as black as this life

set me alight

i'll dance in the flames

the haunting song plays

as my lifeless corpse falls

take my ashes

from the embers glowing

scatter them to the four winds

when the sun bleeds its last

the day dies

fade to black

its really good, and deep it shows feeling
