Demons

Been a while since I been in this place

But I feel it returning to me again

Loss of sleep and weight and hope

Walking in the sun and seeing only grey

Bleak.

Demons and darkness, living this insanity

It catches me off guard

Time and time again

Fight the dead and the dying

Fight the demons and the fallen

Protection is and illusion

Can't eat and can't sleep, kiss the lips of addiction

This weight that never ends

A burden heavier than the night

Fading.
