High Red Tides

High Red Tides

A Poem by Sarah S
"

It is jumbled, but it relates to an unpleasant habit I once had.

"
Suddenly the red seas are raging
Tossing tiny silver ships around

Crimson tides are violent-
Boiling and burning,
Twisting and turning,
Destroying the pale land they once lived within.

Roiling, tumultuous,
Spilling over and over.
Endless.

Conscience fades and senses fail,
Carried away,
on the waves of poisoned pleasantries.

Lost in these high red tides.
