Broken LinksA Poem by Sarah SThe links that are broken are the ones inside. Journal excerpt, 10/29/12I want to stop existing. Scream and bleed, stop breathing. The chains on my neck and hands and feet are heavy and toxic, pulling me down and poisoning me, dragging behind me on the gangplank. Some day, they will push me off. Or I'll unbalance. The chains will unbind as I drop into the endless ocean but by then it will be too late because the darkness has already captured me, and I will never return.
