Daredevils Road

Daredevils Road

A Poem by Sarah S
"

Similar to the road not taken by robert frost

"

the past is done, hauntingly unchangeable

full of regrets and sorrow, pain and suffering

but a new dawn breaks

shining golden light on a new path, undiscovered

a road not for the fainthearted

but for the wild ones, the daredevils

for who knows what lies ahead on the wild path?

follow the conformist road like so many others

live a life devoid of excitement and thrill

or risk the wild unknown,

and anticipate each dawnbreak that brings new thrills?

But turn to the wanderers road,

and there is no retreat

its the chance of a lifetime,

to turn a new leaf and walk a new path

The unknown is calling,

but who dares to stray

from the comfort zone of the conformist path?

Only a thrill-seeker,

one who lives life on the edge, to the fullest,

like a wolf running with the cold white moon

But alas, the brave are few and far between

For one would never know what changes may befall them

and thus, so few stray from the established road

Such is the glorious tragedy we know as life.
