Fools Star

Fools Star

A Poem by Akoka Folami
"

Inspired from stargazing at a moon veiled sky...

"

Look deep within

The lucid clear night

See the bright stars

They shimmer delight

Shiny as a reflection

I could stir with a spoon

Why, of all things

Do I adore simply the moon?

The great white stone

Scattered with scarrs

It fools us of its worth

Its glow is from a star.

It reflects light upon the floor

But throws shadows on the ground.

A world once bright before

Casts a forboding glow all around.

Shiny as a reflection

I could stir the sky with a spoon.

Why, of all things,

Do I adore simply the moon?

Beautiful imagery :) I was going to read this when you posted it, but I was a bit tired xD I love the descriptions, and the fourth stanza is really pretty :) Very, very nice piece :)
