Learning Waves

Learning Waves

A Poem by Akoka Folami
"

My observation and imagination of waves...

"
Soft patter upon the shore
Little waves pounce and roll playfully
Recede to mother's rumble

Waves foam and crash upon prey
Grown and learned from mother's rumble
Drag underneath strugg'ling prey

Author's Note

Akoka Folami
Here is my second poem! It has a lot more form and control than my first one. I know it's not an original type of Haiku. I just picked a subject and made two Haiku paragraphs... Enjoy!!
Another thing: One book said Haikus syllables are 5,7,5 yet another said a Haikus syllables are 7,9,7. So if the rhythm is wrong, sorry... just enjoy the metaphors I suppose :)

About
I live on a farm off of the coast of Maine (a beautiful view!!)... I love to: 1. Think peacefully off the peaceful shore 2. Go on soothing walks and drink hot Green Tea 3. The cliché: HANG W.. more..
