Novocaine

Novocaine

A Poem by Elizabeth Kerns

His smile makes my heart race
His kiss takes my pain away
While his whispers brighten the day
But his goodbye. . .
It's like novocaine.

I like the end to this poem but I wish you could tie in the last line with sensory language. Something like..."His goodbyes / they taste like Novocain."

Nice, short but very honest.

About
I love reading and writing. I'm almost always reading a new book. I love romance but there has to be some kind of suspense. Anyways, I haven't written anything on here in a while but I'm planning on .. more..
