A Deal to Find Yoitsu

 

A wolf in a field of wheat, was spying on a man

She took his shape and slept near to his heart,

His cargo; and fur upon fur warmed her

He found her asleep, and he noticed a tail

To explain, she told the man such a tale…

Of a lone Goddess, from a distant land to the north

He did not believe…

She turned once more into an unsightly beast

Her true self, her strong-self

Frightened…duly stunned by her display

The man was frozen, as she leapt away

 

There was much more to come yet, for these two…that night she came back once more

 

When his thoughts were set upon her, she came again from the wheat

 

They made friends of each other that night, and had come to a deal

Side by side, they walk into trouble; they search for a lost Goddesses home

 

A forgotten place, from a forgotten time
