Somewhere

Somewhere across the sea,

A husband dreams of you,

But he sits there in his tank,

Waiting for a battle to ensue.

 

Somewhere far from home,

A college kid dreams of our shore,

But no time soon will he see,

Because he's cleaning weapons of war.

 

Somewhere lost in desert sand,

A single father cries for you,

He’s missing your giggle and the warmth of your hand,

But he had to pay his due.

 

Somewhere far away.

Our troops dream of us,

They dream of their home

So we have to bring them back, We must.
