The Pain of a Teenage Drama Queen

The Pain of a Teenage Drama Queen

A Poem by Madi Rose
"

This piece is very important to me, it's about a person in my life that effected me and writing is the only thing that has helped me to move past it. Its about love and loss, and basically young love.

"

You said that you loved me but then you leave me, in my mind it really was love. Love such a funny thing, apparently people don't know the difference between love and lust. Lust is such a strong feeling, but I don't understand how people confuse it with love so easily! Easily confused just like you. You knew that you were lying to me, leading me on, putting me in pain. Pain that could not be fixed with a pill, heat, not even ice, because the pain you put me in was in my heart. “Heart? Whats a heart?”, oh yeah I'm sorry I forgot you don't have a heart and that's why you were able to do this to me. “Me” that's all that would ever come out of your mouth was “me,me,me” and I didn't notice until it was too late, because of this I learned that you didn't care about ME at all. All of those late night conversations didn't mean anything to you apparently, well I hope you have fun dying alone because the only person that ever cared about you is gone now.

About
I am a young writer/artist. Writing is my escape from reality and a way for me to get all of my feelings out. Most of what I write is dark and "depressing" but that because I write the truth. Life can.. more..
