"

dead leaves swirl over ground
rotted fruit decaying in the sun's failing grace
i was brought to this moment falling into serenity
the peace i've walked a lifetime to reach

stolen by beggar's embrace
violent passage
the nightmare disgrace
this pain is your pain
this sorrow, my vein

travelled to solemn spaces
i turn to all the false prophets
asking why

shattered the deep
This time i held dear
terrorizing her place
biding my time in fear

the leaves underfoot
no breath of sky
to salve this way
to end
this dying day
