Mud

Mud

A Poem by Xuru

I don't recognize my own voice, the lump in my throat grows.
My spine curves to the sharp bends in the road.

Dead end.

She won't love me forever.

Why thank you!
It's beautiful, in a smog filled greasy sky kind of way. pessimistic poetry is ironically one of the most real kinds left. hardcore self doubt and I hope you have more confidence Away from keyboard than the portrayal in the text.

Oddly enough I wouldn't consider myself a pessimist as my writing suggests.

That's good! Stay rad, this is some great text :)
Sounds like self doubt and being afraid to commit because of it

Yes ma'am.
I enjoy poetry with possibility and this checks that box. It's got grimy intrigue. Your title fits the content as well. I really like this piece. Great work.

thank you!
Last line is just a punch to the gut. I like it, how you expressed what it's like realizing such terrible truths. A great, short piece.

Clarity hit hard, realized creatively. I like the power in your words and the images you chose and combined with your word choices.
I think many people can relate to the feeling when awful disillusion makes your seat in reality. There's something almost panicking or adrenaline-like woven into the calm of realization in your words of closure, like racing too fast in a street with too many curves.

It leaves an opening for the imagination as to what the story behind it is.
