The African PearlA Poem by Sibusiso Xtdo Gama
My eyes turn to red love balloons, My heart to a network pole, To which
my breath is WiF-ied to exhale data bundles.
Just so I could remain connected to her,
Or at least her picture on Facebook
She is the beauty
and the beat, The symphony of the
African jazz trumpet, The power a sane man distantly
finds upon a woman. She is the true epitome that god is the bounty of beauty Yes she is indeed a
shaker,
The woman of influence
Her Facebook profile give me the audacity, to beg her not to change it, so I can keep on
falling…
I would be so blessed to fall onto the hand of an
angel such as her,
On those tender slender hands, With the sweetest of touch like neon flaunt
flowers, I would make falling a
habit, So I constantly fall and fall until, I
fall in...The deep
And I don’t want to talk about her smile.
All the mirrors reflect my frowning face, But her smile, I don’t want
to talk about the fire blazing from the smile she attire On those dimpled chicks! I like those dimples,
They are so refreshing just by the ogle at them, Like the ephemeral
African pristine wet lands, That appear only
after the rain.. her smile
I am sure there was thunder and
storms, When she was born! For she was shaking… Sweet Shaker! © 2014 Sibusiso Xtdo GamaAuthor's NoteFeatured Review
