If you strike women, you strike AngelsA Poem by Sibusiso Xtdo Gama
Wathint’abafazi wantint’ imbokodo? Bay’bamba ishisa, iqinile njegogodo? You strike women you strike a rock! The crafting of mother-earth from crust to the core, The sweetest of neon flaunt flowers we adore Need I say more? I see fire blazing from the smiles you attire upon hearing the same old phrase You strike women you strike a rock. The rock, the same impediment miners crack, crush and dispose as concrete In search of what they consider more valuable and precious, Gold, Platinum and crude oil they say.
I was not planted, blood and flesh coated from a mere rock within which exist no womb There for I am not a follower, I am not a believer of the saying, you strike women you strike a rock But if you are a believer, take a Bee and imagine its liver And see how insulting and belittling can you be, As small as a BEE-LIVER
