I Want To.

I Want To.

A Poem by Sibusiso Xtdo Gama

                        I want to.

                    I want to sing

                    Not the fancy,

I want to scream like speakers booming so loud,

I want to sing away the pain and strain,

                    Not the jazz.

                    But the blues,

The melody that turns all our issues into tissues to wipe our tears

And bandage our ever bleeding wounds,

The melody that turns scars into stars,

To concuss a new galaxy free from suffering,

                         I want to

                     I want to dance,

                      Not the foreign moves,

                     Not in nudity,

I want to communicate my feelings,

And the blast bliss for the suffering,

     We have turned into joy,

     I want to drink,

From the fountain of our tears,

The fountain of our nutrition,

Our daily bread,

Walls say something..

Like the deaf without appendages,

I want to listen, so much as if I had no other senses,

No feel,

No smell,

I want to listen, to my roaring intestines

I want to listen, it is all i can do.

Now I understand what music for you is all about. Your poem inspire me to use some of your words to write this gift song-poem for you to keep as your own: I used meter and rhyme to make it sing. Sing along:

We Want to Heal

We want to bring
you the real.
We want to sing
songs that heal.

May we ply with speakers booming
where we sing like flowers blooming
chasing sorrows that are looming,
quelling furies that are fuming?

Just drop that jazz,
and bring the blues,
the one that has
the tune that woos;

No razzmatazz,
no complex views.
Bring forth pizzazz
with tender clues.
