A Poem by victoria

so many doors i see
open in front of me,
so many doors are there
and all i can wonder is where is here?
so many people i meet
so kind and true to me,
so many people i meet
that have come and gone as they pleased.
so many options i have
so many its almost a drag,
i keep wondering, where do i go?
but all thats replied is a simple "i don't know."
so where do i go?
where do i belong
in this big open world that is so strong?
is there something to see?
something so simple, thats its in front of me?
and is it my true destiny?
so many question,
with no answers.

so i ask of you lord,
where do i belong
in this big world, that is so strong?

I've found myself asking this same question..over and over..and another one too.."why does this stuff keep happening to me??" But back to your poem..I do agree with all your questions. They do make us query as to why..how..what much to often. We are sometimes left more befuddled than before we even asked in the first place. Getting lost though, I think, is part of life. You have to learn..so finding your way back from your detour can be looked at as coming back. Very well written thought provoking piece here...I liked it very much :)

we always ask ourselves that, being a philosopher i've only made the answer for poets, but i'm kind of shy of saying what it is so i won't say it but still relatable poem that strikes all of my questions!

This is so realistic and so many people can relate to the back story. :) I loved this poem so much!

Wow, I can really relate to this. I've had those moments when everything is just too overwhelming and I can't even make simple decisions. You captured the emotion amazingly!

You capture the bafflement of life, of how we are, or how IT is. Oddly I never ask those questions, so your poem made me think. I have never felt any doubt or worry about where I am with those around me. But that might be because I am just limited in my outlook. But there we are. Looking at your words again, you do make me think of all the people I have met over the years, about how transitory such meeings can be ... but then that is the nature of life. Nothing is fixed. I also think that some of the ones I have met have now actually died. All this leads to even more profound questions such as, 'What does anything in our lives really matter? Does any of it really matter? A lot to the things we think matter, esp work, usually do not. We are soon forgotten. Perhaps it is the inconsequential kindnesses we receive and do for others that count for much more than all the things we think matter. As for doors, push them all open! See how you made me think!
