They see no middle ground

It’s such a pitiful sight

Facts might be facts

But the blind lead the blind

No thoughts of their own

The truth left far behind

It’s all part of an agenda

New lies by the hour

Hypocritical statements

Their brazen lust for power

Elections can’t fix it

Corruption to the core

Give them the world

They’ll always want more

The people are just sheep

So easy to lead astray

Led around until they’re lost

Before the wolves come out to play

They have to pick their friends

And they have to pick a side

Choose which way to run

Because there is no place to hide

Politically polarized

Pushed to the extreme

Pawns in this game

Not privy to the scheme

There are no right answers

No news without sensation

Just the ongoing war

That’s tearing apart our nation

so true but as you have said we are just like sheep easily led astray. in our own ways, we cannot lose our way maybe awareness could be the first thing to do, then realization starts and may be we can do something to mobilize. the only problem is a lot of people are too wrapped up with their own concerns that they don't mind what other people need.
