Hide and Seek

This is a song I wrote a while back.

I hide myself in a dream

So no one can find me,

So no one can hurt me.

I built these walls around my heart

So no one could get through,

So no one can break my heart.

And all this time I tell all the boys

"Let's go play hide and go seek

The winner gets my heart,

But every time these boys have all lost, 

And i've been here saying "Let's play"

Hide and seek.

Hide and seek.

But this game is getting old now

And i'm tired of not being found,

I'm fed up with not being seen.

And these boys are giving up every time

I'm starting to grow up now.

But when I was with you I didn't go hide

And you didn't have to go seek

And there in your arms it felt like home

I think I can live with that

I'm sure I can live with that.

I hid myself in a dream,

Hoping to be found.

Hoping to fall in love.

but they came tumbling down today.

I finally let down my guard today.

And all of this time I've told all the boys

And all of this time these boys all gave up

And i've been here saying "Let's play"

And that game was getting old then

But I don't think about it now

I won't think about it no

And all of the boys that gave up every time

Well they can go f**k themselves

Cause i'm moving on with my life

And when I was with you I didn't go hide

And you didn't have to go seek

And there in your arms it felt like home

I'm not playing hide and go seek

And I won't ever again.
