ParisA Poem by XillieA poem about Romeo and Juliet, with a twist.
Paris I wonder what she was thinking As she waited for him that day Did she wonder if he’d left her? Had his heart been led astray?
How did she rejoice? When she saw him from above When he held her in his arms Did she know she was in love?
And what about that other boy? Surely she didn’t hate him so Just because he was Paris And she loved Romeo
Maybe he really cared Perhaps they once were close Maybe he broke her heart And Romeo was just a morphine dose
But now she made her choice And over him, bled her sorrow Because all her fears were true And she won’t wake up tomorrow
But Paris carries on And he knows what was true Why couldn’t she admit it? Because she loved him, too © 2008 Xillie |
