The Alley CatA Poem by Xilhouette
Mystic creature prowling the night
Gracefully dancing out the light Slithering between lamps and posts Mystic creature akin to ghosts Wandering in, out, out and in Lost it seems, looking for its kin Out and about it sees a sign Wandering creature sees: not one of mine Fluttering from the south comes a crow Saying: follow me, I know where to go Excitedly, creature follows through Oh what a sad creature, the crow left and flew... Now back to the alley where this one began This alley cat who got tired and ran Alley cat, alley cat, you know where to stay Here in the dark, where the other cats lay Alley cat, alley cat, only to you I say: I wish to be like you; I wish to know my way © 2015 Xilhouette |
