Moon beams like diamond rings

Starry sky's, no goodbyes

wind does whisper like 

thunder does roar

For i am turning back

to the people i adore

Streetwise, no lies

Moneymaking, heart breaking

I am what i am

Love me or leave me

But don't hate me more

i try, I try

I fall, i stand

Learn from my mistakes

With no helping hand

Rivers, lakes and ocean

They all live in harmonious notion

day by day i live and learn

For a father i lost, i Yearn

Happy and secure i will stay

No put downs can break me

This is very poetic, though there need not be an apostrophe in downs in the second to last line. Good message, nice to see something hopeful amidst all the depressing poetry on here.
