Sleep Paralysis (unfinished)

Sleep Paralysis (unfinished)

A Poem by Optionless (Xeous)

Dreaming,
I recall being in my old elementary school building,
The building however was empty and dark.
Normally, a person would be scared but I found this more thrilling,
Because I knew the place by heart.

Moonlight illuminating the perimeter enough for things to be visible.
I stumble up upon some stairs to encounter hallways, which lead to classrooms.
Places I once been in...
Having memories unravel as if they were familiar tunes.

It came to my tensions that I was in a dream,
But the way how things were perfectly displayed and detailed, it felt too real.
I then gaze out of a window to see the location of the school was completely different from what I remembered.

I slowly back away from the window to hear a specific sound that I knew I shouldn't be hearing.
Tic toc...
Tic toc...
"The clocks are broken, they shouldn't be working." is what I thought.
I start making my way out of the classroom and then caught eyes on something.
That was when...I saw it.
