Bloom

Just something that needed to be put on paper

You are like a flower, that bloomed in a dark shadow

I am crowded in a field of things that look just like me; will we ever be free?

Fear not, single flower, even though you are in a place you might not want to be

For who knows what holds tomorrow; remember I will always be your meadow

You might be stuck in your roots, but there is no need to cry

I will accept all your pain and suffering, I'll give you the strength

Sun, rain or snow, I'll be with you every season of the year

Don't wilt away, single flower, for there is no replacement

You are the only "you", til' now and from now on, there is no need for self-effacement

When the wind takes me smile and remember, I'll always be with you, far or near

For what can a little dandelion do? except to try

All my seeds blown away, each a memory of you, as my heart reaches out at length

I love this! It's a great poem and I love dandelions, haha, no one ever talks about them. The words were very pretty and the metaphors and stanzas all melded together and flowed so well. The rhymes were all very nice as well.
