Tommy a senior was having a huge party at his house that Sunday and the whole band was invited. Ella was in her room getting ready. She had no idea what she wanted to wear.

Eventually, she picked out a dark blue cami and some bleached ripped jeans. She applied some blue eye shadow and her eyeliner and surveyed herself in the mirror again before walking out the door to wait for Jacey.

“Hey, Ella you look electrifying!” Laurie said as Jacey’s car pulled in.

“You guys look so cute.” Ella said looking at what everyone else was wearing.

Jacey had a white cami with silver stars on it with a denim mini skirt. Laurie had a hot pink mini dress on and Serena had a purple halter top on with jeans.

“Are you excited?” Serena asked.

“Yeah, this is supposed to be the party of the year.” Ella said happily.

“Tommy’s house is huge, like Ray’s.” Laurie inquired. Ella cringed at his name. She had tried to forget about what happened between them.

As the car approached the house sounds of laughter and music were heard. Ella began to get even more nervous. The car stopped and the girls shuffled out.

“Party!” Jacey shouted as she became one with the huge crowd on the dance floor.

“Are you going to stand there or dance?” Laurie asked dragging Ella out to the dance floor. At first Ella was really stiff but then she let loose and let herself have a good time.

“Was that fun or what? I’m going to get some punch want anything?” Serena asked.

“No, I’m good. I think I just saw Sanger walk in through the door.”

“Oh, where?” Serena said turning around and looking for Sanger. Ella just chuckled.

“Come on let’s dance some more.” Jacey said leading her back into the living room/ dance floor.

“Mandy!” Ella said seeing Mandy on the dance floor with Evan.

“Ella, apparently Evan here is an awesome dancer.” Mandy said winking at Evan.

“Oh, yeah, a John Travolta in the making.” Ella said.

“Ella, I really have to talk to you about something, privately.” Mandy begged. Ella led her out of the house and into the backyard.

The back yard was away from all the noise and a couple people were out there drinking beer. Ella could feel the headache forming from the noise.

“I’ve been really sick lately.” Mandy said.

“Sick? With what?” Ella said eyeing her friend.

“I think I might be pregnant!” Mandy said quietly.

“What!?” Ella said loudly not noticing the looks she was getting from the other people.

“I don’t know though I haven’t taken a test.” she said nervously.

“Well, we need to find out.” Ella said taking her hand and leading her out to the front. Mandy got in her car and Ella got in the passenger seat.

“Thanks, for doing this with me.” Mandy said as they began their drive to the pharmacy.

Back at the party Ray was talking to Sonny. They had both been drinking.

“That girl was so fine.” Sonny slurred.

“Yeah, I know.” Ray said stumbling over.

“You better cool it your girlfriend is going to get mad.”

“What girlfriend?” Ray exclaimed taking a gulp of the alcoholic drink.

“Ray, how could you drink?!” Hayley said running up to him.

“I’m not drinking this is just water in a beer bottle.” Ray said laughing.

“Ray, I think your girlfriends mad. I’m gonna go buddy.” Sonny said patting him on the back and leaving.

“I’m sorry, sweetie I really am.” Ray said trying to kiss her.

“Ew, you have beer breathe. Hayley said pushing him away. “Ray, no more drinking. Let’s get you home.” she said taking his keys out of his pocket and steering him out the door.

“You know,” Ray began as they were in the car, “you’re a really good girlfriend.” he said smiling.

“No more drinking until your legal okay?” she said.

“Okay.” he said taking her hand.

“Good, because I don’t need an underage alcoholic for a boyfriend.” she joked.

“I don’t know why I did it.” Ray said.

“Maybe you just wanted to forget. I know how feel.” Hayley said smiling at him.

“Things like that make me love you even more.” Ray said smiling at her.

Mandy was in her bathroom at Tommy’s house. They had decided to go back. Mandy was beginning to hyperventilate.

“I can’t be pregnant; I’ll have to drop out of school, not go to college, and not make money. I’m going to die; I’m going to die, Ella!” Mandy said pacing around the room

“Mandy, being pregnant isn’t going to kill you.” Ella reminded her.

“Yeah, but my parents will. Ella you don’t understand, my parents want a nun for a daughter.” Mandy said sitting down but then standing up again.

“Mandy?”

“What?” she snapped.

“It’s time.” Ella said picking up the test.

“Before we look, I just want to say thanks.”

“No, problem.” Ella turned over the test and smiled at Mandy.

Once the party was over Sanger went out with Serena to the Dinner Diner to get some food.

“I’ll have a burger with pickles, cheese, mustard, jalapeños, and salsa. A burger with cheese and tomatoes. A chicken wrap with extra lettuce, a salad dressing on the side. A bean burrito and a muffin to go. So what are you having?” Sanger asked Serena who now questioned his sanity.

“Um, I’ll have a chicken wrap.” Serena told the waitress.

“I’m starved.” he said.

“So who was all that food for?”

“The band wanted some food.” Sanger replied.

“So what did you order?”

“The muffin.” he replied.

“You’re such a muffin.” Serena replied.

Once they got their food they got in the car and drove off to Evan’s house. Ray was with Hayley at his house because he had gotten drunk so it was just the band and their girlfriends.

“I have food!” Sanger said entering the house. All of the people ran in and got their food.

“What! No fries! Come on!” Ella muttered.

“I have this huge craving for French fries! How could they forget?” Mandy said.

“You sound like a pregnant woman.” Sanger joked.

“I’m not.” Mandy said smiling at Ella.

They all ate their food and decided that they should go back home because Monday morning was getting close.

“This is dogdeball people, not the Boston massacre. So play nice and don’t get hit!” The coach blew the whistle and balls began flying in different directions.

“Haha, I got Sanger out!” Ella cheered right before a ball came and hit her in the stomach. “Darn.” she muttered and took a seat next to Sanger.

“I hate dogdeball. Everyone aims for me.” Sanger whined.

“They aim for you because your fun to get out.” Sanger pouted.

They watched until Ella’s team lost and they had to go back in.

“We won!” Evan cheered.

“You cheated.” Ella whined.

“Whatever you know we won fair in square.” Joel said playing with Ella’s hair.

“It wasn’t a fair game all of you were aiming for me.” Ella said referring to Sanger, Joel, and Evan.

“Well, we also aimed for Ray-chel.” Sanger said as Evan elbowed him in the stomach.

“Who’s Rachel?” Ella asked confused.

“Nobody.” Joel said.

They all walked out and went their separate ways into the locker room. Once showered and changed they were out of school and free to go home.

“We have band practice at Ray’s.” Joel mentioned to Ella.

“I don’t think I should go.” she said walking across the parking lot away form the cars.

“Are you walking home?”

“Yes, why?”

“It’s unsafe.”

“Joel, I’ll be fine.” Ella said walking away from him and across the street.

The rest of them decided to cover up for Ella by telling Ray that she didn’t feel good. They played without Ella for the first time and they didn’t like it.

“I miss Car Crash.” Sanger pouted.

“I miss the fun Car Crash too. This one just mopes around all day.” Evan commented.

“Yeah, she use to be happier.” Joel said.

“I miss her too.” Ray replied.
