Hannah was sitting on the porch waiting for Sonny to come home from his drum lesson. She waited until she the car she use to drive around in pull up.

“Aw, that’s so sweet. You waited for me.” He smiled as he got out of the car.

“I don’t have a house key.” She mumbled.

“Well, that’s not my fault now is it?” He smirked and opened the door.

“The parents still at the Shinnings?” he asked.

“Yeah, they’re still there.” She said. She was going to avoid Trevor from now on and bringing him up was going to become a sore subject.

“Well, then why don’t we go to the Dinner Diner?” Sonny suggested.

“But we just ate.” She looked at him skeptically.

“Who said anything about eating there?” he raised his eyebrows.

“But then what’s the point of going there if we’re not going to eat?” she asked.

“For the fun I guess.” He smiled and walked back out the door. Hannah of course followed because she knew something was coming.

She couldn’t wait for the car ride to be over because lucky for her SonSon had spotted Trevor walking around aimlessly. Trevor of course got in the car and sat right next to Hannah in the front seat. She was squished between the door and Trevor who just had to sit close enough to control the radio. And she swore that he had purposely put in a mo town station just to annoy her. She wasn’t going to give him a reaction because that’s exactly what he wanted. She sat there in silence and suffered.

“Finally.” She mumbled when they got out of the car. “So, why are we here?” she asked hoping that she could at least get an answer now.

“You’ll see.” Was Sonny’s contradicting answer.

“Tre- dang it.” She mumbled under her breath remembering that she was avoiding him.

“I’m not telling you either.” Trevor said apparently not getting the memo that she didn’t want to talk to him. They waited outside until finally Sonny mumbled that it was time.

Hannah cautiously walked into the diner. The lights were off.

“Hello?” she said puzzled.

“SURPRISE!!!” everyone yelled. Hannah knew this was coming. The banner above them read ‘Welcome Home’.

“You didn’t have to do this.” She smiled.

“Yeah but we were so jazzed that you were coming back that we just had to.” Chase said hugging her.

The party was small. It was just the guys and Hannah of course. They had some burgers and then decided to get home. It was just a really good time with her friends. Well, except for Trevor.

Trevor felt bad. Not because he had inhaled three cheese burgers or downed a whole quart of strawberry milkshake. He felt bad and he had no idea why. Alex followed him home walking a couple paces behind him with Chase.

“Chase, you’re staying over.” Trevor demanded.

“You’re not going to fall asleep on me again are you?” he asked.

“No, I promise. And that was an honest mistake. You see I rolled.” He said.

“Sure you did.” Alex commented.

“Mini-Shinnings be quiet.” He said to his brother.

“Don’t call me that.” He pouted.

“I’m your brother and I can call you whatever I want.”

“No you can’t.”

“Yes, I can.”

“Guys, shut up!” Chase laughed at how childish his friends were acting.

Alex decided to go to sleep because he was that lame. Trevor and Chase staid up playing Halo 2. Trevor got bored and put down the controls.

“What, does shooting people and making their guts spill out not fun for you?” Chase asked amused be Trevor’s sudden uninterest.

“My head hurts.” He replied.

“I think I know why. You just haven’t admitted it yet.” Chase smirked.

“What?”

“You so want me.” He joked. “No, I don’t want to say it because you’d kill me and then feed my body to your next door neighbor’s dogs.”

“Is it really that bad?” Trevor looked at him questioningly.

“If I think you might kill me then yeah.” Chase replied digging into the bowls of junk food they had stolen from the kitchen.

“Its Molly and some one else.” He said dipping a Dorito into his ice cream and then eating it.

“Hannah.” Chase coughed.

“No, it’s Carmen.” He said naming his ex.

“Carmen hates your guts.” He said. He knew that Trevor was lying. Trevor sighed.

“I hate that you know me so well.”

“So, you don’t like Hannah?” Chase asked.

“No.”

“Alright cool now I can ask her out.”

“NO!” Trevor shouted. Chase just smirked. “Maybe a little.”

The next day Hannah went to school, came home, went to her room, locked the door, turned on the radio, got in bed, and fell asleep for five minutes before being woken up by the band’s practicing. She groaned covered her head with the pillow and tried to get to sleep again. With no such luck she walked downstairs to get something to eat. Her stomach rumbled loudly as she opened the refrigerator. She decided on left over Chinese and heated it up.

“Yum.” She smiled when the microwave dinged and she opened the door. Chinese food was good, but for some reason leftover Chinese food was better.

She walked over to the TV and put in her favorite movie in the whole world, The Carebears Movie. She smiled and watched it for about fifteen minutes.

“You’re very strange.” Alex said plopping down on the couch beside her.

“Thank you, my dear.” She replied. Alex took her bowl of Chinese food and took a bite.

“Hannah? Can I?”

“Yes, go ahead eat the rest.” Hannah rolled her eyes and laughed.

“I wuv you.” Alex smiled.

“I wuv you too.” She replied.

“Really?” Alex asked.

“Yes, really.”

“Why?”

“Why not?”

“Why not, why not?”

“Alex, just shut up and watch the movie.” He pouted but remained quiet.

“Hannah?”
”Hmm?”

“I’m bored.”

“Uh, fine!” she said shutting off the TV. “What do you want to do?”

“Um, I don’t know.” Alex said.

“Alex, I’m going to kill you and eat your head.”

“Ouch.” He pouted.

“Why aren’t the guys coming up?” she asked.

“They’re having a party and I wasn’t invited.” He stated.

“A party?” she said.

She didn’t exactly believe Alex so she tiptoed down there and sure enough they were having a party. Twenty people or so crammed into a basement.

“I told you.” Alex said from behind her.

“We’re so crashing this.” Hannah said stepping out of her hiding.

“HANNAH!” Sonny said running towards her and hugging her.

“Why didn’t you tell me you were having a party?”

“Because I forgot.” He said embarrassed.

Hannah found herself dancing with Chase because he was sitting in the corner and she had to drag him out there. Alex was busy talking to some people she didn’t know.

“Chase, you’re so white.” Hannah laughed.

“Well, thanks for the news flash.” He smiled.

“Can I steal her away for a second?” came a voice.

“Ray!” Hannah said turning around.

“You left and then you came back and forgot to tell me.” He smirked.

“Sorry.” She said looking down.

“You’re just going to have to make it up to me.” He smirked.

“And how will I do that?” she raised her eyebrow.

They walked up the stairs and into the kitchen. Hannah was getting a little uncomfortable. He crept up the stairs to the hallway which contained the bedrooms.

“This isn’t what you’re thinking. I’m not trying to seduce you. I just need you to bring him out of his coma.” Ray said opening the guest bedroom door to reveal Trevor lying on the bed. Hannah just looked at him.

“Why do I have to do this?” she asked.

“Because you’re the problem.” He stated. Oh, great, Hannah thought.

She walked into the room. Trevor didn’t even look up. This was going to take some time.

Trevor was lying on the bed knowing that he was being watched by Hannah. His friends had decided to celebrate the success of their band and their second gig by having a party. Their gig was a couple night ago and it was pretty good.

“Um, hi.” Hannah said interrupting the silence. Trevor just remained quiet because he had nothing to say. “Hello, earth to Trevor?” she said again.

“What?” he snapped.

“I don’t know Ray sent me in here to get you down there.” She said referring to the basement.

“Oh, I don’t feel like having a party.” Trevor said looking back at the ceiling.

“Um, well I can’t exactly leave until you come down there. So you either have one of two choices. We could stay here and I could annoy you to death or we can go down there.”

“I’m fine with staying up here.”
”No you’re not, you’re just being stubborn.”

“I know.” He smirked.
”I have a question.” Hannah said.

“What?”

“Why did you kiss me?” she asked.

“I don’t know.” He said looking at her.

“Do it again.” She said pulling him towards her without thinking.
