Chapter 8: Ive Got Birds in My Ears and A Devil on My Shoulders.

A Chapter by Ana:D

Hannah woke up the next morning to find Trevor gone. She really hoped that no one had seen him leave. She stretched and stumbled out of bed. She decided to take a shower because she didn’t really have the time to take one last night.

“Hannah-nah, hurry up I have to tell you something very important!” Matt called through the door.

“Okay, I’ll be out in a couple minutes.” She replied.

“You better get out here in a minute or else I’ll start singing.” He threatened.

“Oh, no I’m so scared.” She retorted.

She exited the bathroom to find no Matt waiting outside. She wandered around the second floor before deciding to go downstairs. She looked around there too but still couldn’t find him.

She walked over to the pantry to get some Lucky Charms. She stopped and pressed her ear to the door.

“We shouldn’t tell her yet!”

“Fine, later then.”

“Now get out of the pantry before someone finds us and gets the wrong impression.”

The door swung open and Hannah stepped back away from the door quickly. “What were you guys doing in the pantry?” she asked.

“Talking.” Sonny smiled like a five year old up to something.

“I’m not allowed to tell you anymore.” Matt pouted. Hannah gave Sonny a suspicious look.

“You had a boy in your room last night.” Sonny smirked. “Don’t deny it I heard him.”

“Oh, who was it?” Matt asked eager to know.

“Santa Clause.” She replied.

“Speaking of Santa Clause, what do you two want for Christmas?” Matt asked.

“Well, I want a pony, a pot of gold, rainbow unicorns, oh and a vampire turkey!” Sonny clapped.

“What about you?” Matt turned to Hannah.

“I don’t want anything.” She shrugged.

“Oh, come on, you have to want something.” Matt whined.

“Well, maybe a gift card or maybe you can spring for a dinosaur!” she smiled.

After that conversation she decided to go Christmas shopping for the boys since it was in five days.

She ended up going to the mall. It was a little crowded, but not so much since it was a Thursday. She thought about what she should get for each boy and the Bearings family. She ended up buying Sonny lime green drumsticks, Matt a pair of boxers with guitars all over them, Chase a fender pillow, and Alex cupcake mix. She started thinking about if she should get Trevor anything. She walked around debating herself over it.

“Well, hello stranger.” Trevor said walking up to her.

“If I were your Christmas gift where would I be hiding?” she asked him.

“In my bed.” He winked at her.

“So, what are you doing here anyway?”

“I’m X-mas gift shopping.” He replied linking his arm through hers.

“Am I on your list?” she asked.

“My gift list.”

“Don’t you have enough girlfriends?” she asked him remembering what a player he was. He was supposed to be a good sweet talker although you couldn’t call how the conversation was going sweet.

“Actually, I broke up with them all.” He said.

“Really, why?” she asked surprised.

“I just needed to concentrate on bigger and better things.”

They stopped in front of a shoe store. “I want shoelaces.” He smiled.

“Shoelaces?” Hannah said confused.

“Yup.”

She went in while Trevor waited outside. She looked at the shoelaces and thought about which ones he would like. She decided on getting the ones with the colorful stars and something extra.

Trevor wasn’t really standing outside the store. He ran over across the way to the jewelry store to buy Hannah something. He figured that since she helped him a lot she deserved something good. He went back just before Hannah emerged. He hid the bag in jacket.

“Can I have peek?” he asked.

“No, it’ll spoil the surprise.”

“Fine.” He pouted.

They walked around the mall and buy the huge Christmas tree. It was decorated with huge ornaments and a huge star at the top.

“If I wasn’t broke, I’d name that star after you.” Trevor smiled.

“You want to name a plastic, piece of crap, shaped like a star after me? Gee, Thanks.” She rolled her eyes.

“Well, sorry for wanting to name the biggest star after you.” He followed her.

Trevor followed Hannah to her car. He kept trying to see what she bought him, but she kept slapping him if he came close. He helped get the shopping bags in the car.

“Hannah?” he asked as she opened the door to the driver’s seat.

“What?” she turned around to face him.

“Nevermind, Merry Christmas.” He said walking away.

When Hannah was getting the gifts out of the back she noticed a small box sitting on the seat. It was wrapped with gold wrapping paper with a navy blue bow. The tag said: From: Trevor, don’t open until Christmas, promise. She smiled to herself and closed the door.

Hannah woke up on Christmas morning early and ready to open presents. She scurried downstairs to find Sonny and family.

“Okay kids, you can tear into your presents now.” Mr. Bearings laughed.

Hannah attacked her presents and opened them. From her aunt and uncle she got a gift card for a spa day and a bunch of books she’d been wanting. From Jason she got a hot pink football and jersey that said her name on the back. Finally, the smallest gift, which was from Sonny, was two concert tickets to her favorite band.

Around noon the guys came over bearing gifts for Hannah and Sonny.

“Yay! Hannah got me a pillow! Now I can throw this at Matt’s head!” Chase jumped up and down. All of them seemed really happy about their gifts. Most of all Alex who begged Hannah to bake the cupcakes.

I like hot cocoa, Alex goes loco, for Hannah’s cupcakes, your face, I like to sing out, you want to tape up my mouth, but you can’t, because I’m too fast!” Matt sang.

“I’ll let you sing that this time, but only because it’s Christmas.” Hannah smiled.

“You know, Trevor was singing that in the shower last night.” Alex told them. Hannah remembered that she needed to go give him his present.

“Guys, I’m going to run to the store and get some eggs for the cupcakes.” She said running out the door.

She got in her car and drove down to his house. She thought about leaving the present on his doorstep but decided to ring the doorbell.

“Merry Christmas, Santa!” Trevor said when he opened the door.

“Do I look like a fat man in a red suit?”

“Does my answer effect if I get my gift?” Hannah gasped. “No, you’re too pretty to be Santa.”

“Here’s your present.” She said handing it to him. He took the wrapping off and opened the box.

“Shoelaces and guitar picks!” he smiled and gave her a hug. “Thanks.”

“Your welcome.” She smiled.

“Did you get Alex cupcakes?” he asked her.

“How did you know!”

“I’m physic.” Hannah rolled her eyes and they said their goodbyes.

She decided that she should stop by the grocery store and pick up eggs so the boys wouldn’t get suspicious.

“Okay, I got the eggs!” she shouted.

“We had eggs.” Sonny said holding up the white ovals.

“We did? I must have not seen them.” She played before continuing to bake.

Later that evening Trevor, Alex, and their parents all sat down to enjoy a Christmas dinner.

“Hey, Trevor, pass the taters.” Alex said. Trevor looked at him for a second before realizing his brother was talking to him.

“Yeah, sure.” He smiled.

The rest of diner consisted of their dad making lame jokes and their mom burping the a, b, c’s. Trevor and Alex always joked that their parents put too much rum in the eggnog.

Trevor and Alex brought out the guitars and played their parents Christmas songs. They sang and drank hot chocolate.

“You’re finally talking to me.” Trevor told his brother when they were finally alone.

“Well, its Christmas and I miss you.”

“I always knew you were gay.” Trevor said ruffling his brother’s hair.

Hannah had dinner and decided to open Trevor’s gift. She went to her room and opened it. She lifted off the lid in anticipation.

Thanks for you advice and help. Merry Christmas!

          Trevor

The note read. She looked down to see a necklace with a skull lined with sparkly white diamonds.

“Wow.” She smiled to herself.
