Chapter 7: My Pride Lay Shattered.A Chapter by Ana:DStupid Charlie grrr. Hannah began to notice that Trevor was coming to the house less and less and now not at all. She didn’t know what happened to him but she kept her questions to herself. “Matt!” Hannah yelled running after him. It was the last day of the semester, so now they had Christmas break. “What!” he snapped. “Oh sorry, I thought you were someone else.” “Um anyway, Sonny wanted me to tell you that band practice is at Chase’s.” “Thanks, see you there right?” he asked. “Always.” She replied turning to walk to her car. When Hannah pulled up to Chase’s she saw the boys playing basketball. She helped Sonny get his drums set up in Chase’s living room. The boys moved the furniture out of the way so they could have room. “Alex, set up center, remember?” Matt reminded him. “Ax, Alex is going to sing!” Hannah clapped her hands and made Alex turn red. “Only until we get a new singer.” He blushed. “But what about your brother?” “What brother?” Hannah decided that the conversation was officially over. Practice started and Hannah was surprised at how different Alex’s voice was compared to his brother’s. She had heard him sing before but not like this. Alex’s eyes lit up just like Trevor’s when he sang. They shone an emerald green in contrast to his brother’s deep blue. Hannah clapped when the song was finished. They had gotten through the whole song for the first time in a couple months. It seemed that when Trevor wasn’t there they didn’t have any problems. She wondered if they were still friends or if the brothers even still talked. It seemed like Alex was really mad at Trevor over something. “Guys, what happened to Trevor?” she asked quietly. “Don’t say his name, it’s a bad word.” Matt said. “No, but seriously.” “He quit.” Chase replied. Hannah didn’t talk for the rest of the rehearsal. She sat on the couch and stared blankly into space. Trevor felt a little crazy for being so obsessive. He has at least walked to the Bearing’s house and back three times. Why he kept ending up there, even he didn’t know. Finally, on the fourth journey, he mustered up even courage to ring the doorbell. “Oh, hello Trevor, we haven’t seen you in a while.” Mrs. Bearings answered the door. “Is Sonny here?” he asked. “No, he’s at Chase’s.” she replied. “Well, what about Hannah?” “You know she goes wherever Sonny goes. I’m sorry dear. I’ll tell them you came by. Hopefully, we’ll see you again soon.” She said closing the door. He had no idea what to do next so he went home. It seemed to him that nobody wanted him. He felt lonely. He was in a fight with his friends and brother and he had to leave the one thing he really cared about, his band. When he walked through the door he noticed that Alex was home. Both of them never said a word to each other since the day at the basement. “Okay, what’s wrong? You’re brothers I know your both dying to insult each other. Why aren’t you guys talking?” their mother spoke up as she noticed the cold glare Alex was giving Trevor. They both froze but didn’t respond. “Is this over a girl?” their mom tried again. They still didn’t answer. Trevor got tired of their mother prying so he went to his room. He realized that not even his own brother wanted to talk or much less forgive him. He lay on his bed and closed his eyes. Tap. Tap. Bang. Trevor looked over to his window. He slid it open and looked down. “You quit?” Hannah shouted in disbelief. “I had to, I was tearing the band apart.” He responded. “But they’re not the same without you.” “Hey, they’re the ones that wanted me gone in the first place.” “Because you weren’t taking it seriously.” She replied. “I’m a fifteen year old guy I don’t take anything seriously.” He retorted. “You still shouldn’t of walked away that easy.” “I know, but at least now they’ll be better off.” “You just keep telling yourself that.” She said walking away. Trevor shut his window and thought about everything Hannah had just said. Were they really better off without him? “Well they have to be because I’m never coming back.” He said to himself before continuing his moping. Hannah walked through the door to be attacked by Matt and Sonny. “So, fraternizing with the enemy?” Sonny said. “I was just checking on him.” She replied. “No, you told him something, something important.” Matt paced the room. “Okay, this is ridiculous.” Hannah said. “I was just checking on him don’t be so paranoid. Wait, how did you know I was talking to Trevor?” she looked at their guilty faces. “Well, we kinda you know…” “We spied on you.” Sonny finished for Matt. “FSOA.” Hannah said. The boys looked at her with confused faces. “Future Stalkers of “Hey, that’s mean!” Sonny shouted as Hannah walked up the stairs. She opened the door to her room and set her keys on her desk. She opened her drawer and picked out a comfy pair of pajama pants and a cotton shirt. She was planning on having a mushy movie night [which she spent alone]. She tool off her shirt when a voice started talking. “Okay, so I was thinking about what you said and I know they probably suck without me but…” as Trevor kept talking all Hannah thought about was how she was standing in front of him with a hot pink lacy bra on. “Don’t you think?” he finished. “Um.” Was all she could get out. “You know, I never stopped you from putting your shirt on.” He smirked. Hannah blushed and put on the shirt she had on before. “So, what should I do?” he asked. “Why are you asking me?” “Well, I would ask my friends but they all kinda hate me right now.” “Good point, well do you see yourself in another band?” she asked him, getting impatient because all she wanted to do was relax already. “No, wow it’s like them or nothing.” Trevor discovered. “Then you have your answer. “She said hoping that he would leave already. “But, I don’t want to beg them to take me back, it’s unclassy.” “You mean unTrevorish.” “Exactly.” He replied sitting down on her bed. Somehow this warned Hannah that he wasn’t going anywhere anytime soon. “It’s like a relationship, think of it this way. Your band is your ‘girlfriend’ and you’re the ‘boyfriend’. Neither of you want to admit that you suck without each other. One of you has to make a move…” Hannah said. “So, since I’m the boyfriend I need to make the first… wait, I want to be the girlfriend!” he pouted. “Ugh, just when we were getting somewhere!” Hannah whined. “So, since they’re the boyfriend now, I have to wait and play hard to get before they start using their brains, er her brains and ask for me back.” “Yeah, you’ve got it down.” She said. “Was I interrupting any of your plans because I’m sorry if I was.” He said. “No, not really I was just going to watch Hot Chick.” She replied. “Oh, I love the Hot Chick!” Trevor clapped joyfully. “Well, I guess you can stay…” “Yay! I love you!” he said hugging her. “Sh, be quiet. I don’t want Sonny to come up here and see you.” She said pulling him off of her and putting in the DVD. Trevor snuggled up on Hannah’s bed. He took the liberty of borrowing Hannah’s shirt that she wanted to change into. “Um, Trevor, don’t you think that that shirt is a little small for you?” Trevor looked down at his exposed mid-section. “Nah, perfect fit.” “How come I’m getting the feeling that you’re trying to seduce me?” Hannah said smirking at him. “Because its working.” He smirked back. Hannah just rolled her eyes. She grabbed her beanie bag and sat down in front of her TV. “Trevor.” “Huh?” “Quit throwing popcorn at “You’re so far away, come closer to me!” he said reaching for her. “You’re such a drama queen.” She rolled eyes. “King.” He pouted. “Queen.” She demanded. Trevor threw a pillow at her. She retaliated by pausing the movie. “Aw, they were eating whipped cream!” he pouted. “Suck it up!” “Sit up here.” He whined and patted the spot next to him. “Fine, so you’ll shut up.” She sat down next to him with a space between them. “Who said I was going to be quiet.” He smirked. Hannah hit him on the head. “Ouch! Fine, I’ll be quiet.” “Trevor?” “Hm.” “What would you do if a shark attacked you?” she asked. “Use my shiny shark repellant.” He smirked at her. “You’re as good as dead.”
