Chapter 5: Let the Flames Begin.A Chapter by Ana:DThat's Alex!!Unfortunately, Monday came followed by Tuesday which was uneventful. Hannah had some how managed to bomb an open book test. Mrs. Bearings was disappointed about Hannah’s grade so much she wouldn’t let her hang out with anyone until they had gone up. Hannah was stuck in her room studying for her Lit. test which was over the last chapter they had covered. She was doing a pretty good job with catching up to the class since she came two months after school had started. “Whoever came up with this crap, I’m going to strangle.” She said to herself when she realized she had been studying for two hours and still wasn’t getting the concept. She decided that she was going to wing the test and head downstairs. She piled some leftovers on a plate and warmed it up in the microwave. From the basement she could hear fragments of songs. They seemed to stop every couple seconds, followed by voices. Even though she promised Mrs. Bearings she wouldn’t, she made her way down to the basement. She decided it would be best if the boys didn’t know she was there so she hid on the stairs and peaked into the room. “Trevor, quit speed singing.” Matt complained. “Well, I kinda need to get somewhere.” He replied. “Fine, go meet that girl, we’ll practice without you.” Chase said. “Cool, see you guys later.” He said grabbing his jacket and walking towards the stairs. “May I remind you that I was the one that started this band.” He said going up the stairs. He glared at Hannah as he walked by. Trevor slammed the door on his way out. He didn’t think he deserved the treatment he was getting from his band. He decided that he wasn’t in the mood to be with anyone so he cancelled his dates and went for a walk. He ended up walking down to his old junior high. They were having an October Carnival. He decided to check it out. There were many games and prizes surrounding the area. He wandered until he found the one game he was good at, Dance Dance Revolution. He put in two quarters as a kid next to him did the same. He smiled as the high score list still bared his name first. The game started and he got a fifty point head start. He was doing really well. He started throwing in tricks and a small crowd of kids and parents surrounded him to watch. Normally he would have been embarrassed doing this in front of a group but he seemed to not mind. Memories of Sonny trying to school him at this game four years back made him laugh as he reached the eleventh level. All of a sudden the crown started shouting at him. “Go Trevor! Go Trevor!” he saw his friends at the front. His show-off mode kick into high and he found a new better energy. “I want to school you.” Chase said starting the game beside him. “Kinda like Sonny schooled him?” Matt smirked. “Shut up, white boy got moves.” Sonny replied. “Sunshine, you’re white.” “Hannahshine, you are too.” He replied. Chase ended up doing worse than Sonny did four years ago. Trevor somehow beat his 7th grade record. “Oh Master, teach me your ways.” Hannah said to Trevor. He just smirked at her. “Guys! Guys!” Sonny said jumping up and down. “What?” Alex asked him. “The bologna that I stuck to the ceiling is still here.” Sonny pointed up to the decaying meat on the ceiling. “Ew, that just might make me become a vegetarian.” Matt said looking at it in disgust. “You really don’t want to know how he got it to stick.” Trevor whispered to Hannah. The rest of the carnival wasn’t that fun so they decided to go back to the brother’s house. They had a two story, brick house with a white garage. They didn’t have a basement but a spacious attic. They all got on the roof which was accessible from Trevor’s room. The backyard had a pool which reflected the moon. “I got the mix.” Alex said climbing on the roof from the window. “Mix?” Hannah asked worried. “It’s a mixture of energy drinks and grape juice.” Sonny explained. “Don’t drink too much you’ll be so hyper and do something stupid.” One sip made Hannah feel very jittery. In an hour she was acting like a psycho maniac. “I’m gonna do it!” she shouted down to Alex. “Catch this one on tape!” “Camera on!” Alex shouted. “Here I go!” Hannah said putting her second foot on the skateboard. She started rolling slowly but got faster as she rolled down the roof. She flew off the roof; everything seemed slow motion as she sank down. She ended up landing in the pool. “I’m alive!” she shouted. “Hannah! What are you doing in the pool!” Sonny rushed over to her. He had been inside with the rest of the boys. “I got it on tape.” Alex said showing him the footage of Hannah flying through the air laughing. “Wow, your cousin’s hardcore.” Trevor commented. “Dancer-boy in pool.” “Huh?” Trevor said before getting pushed/ pulled by Sonny and Hannah. “You planned that.” He frowned as he waded out of the water. The next day Hannah woke up blinded by the sun. She had somehow fallen asleep on a roof. Trevor and Alex’s roof to be exact. “Sonny.” She said shaking him.” Sonny.” “Wha, what?” he said waking up. “We gotta get home.” “Oh, crap!” he said rushing through the window. Trevor woke up in his bed. He immediately grabbed the phone and rescheduled. He started to get ready for school but noticed that his window was open. He walked over and closed it. “Alex! Did you take my sponge bob boxers?” he shouted. “No.” came the reply. “Well, I’m gonna come check!” he said walking into Alex’s room. “Ew, molestation!” Alex said grabbing an umbrella and standing on the bed. When Hannah and Sonny got to their house everything inside was quiet. They slowly tiptoed to the staircase hoping that nobody had noticed that they were gone. “Sonny and Hannah Bearings! Care to explain where you’ve been?” Mr. Bearings said loudly. Mr. Bearings was a big man. A very big man. Hannah was scared of big men. “Uh, well we accidentally fell asleep at the Shinnings.” “But only because they drugged us.” Sonny added on. Hannah shot him a look. “Hannah, you knew you weren’t suppose to go out. You had to study, didn’t you?” he asked. “Yes.” “Then I’m expecting an ‘A’ from you, young lady.” “Don’t keep your hopes up.” Sonny commented. “Shut up, son.” His dad said before getting ready for work. “Did you hear what he just said to me?” Sonny said appalled. All the kids went to school and Mrs. Shinnings staid home. She was a stay at home mom. She cleaned up Alex’s poor excuse for a room and headed over to Trevor’s. She started taking his clothes and folding them. She walked over and straightened out Trevor’s stack of CD’s before she heard a tap on the window. She walked over and opened it. “They locked me out.” Chase pouted.
