Chapter 3: We Wont Forget At All.A Chapter by Ana:DThat's Hannah. At the end of the week Hannah was extremely relieved that she almost ran over some poor kid with her car. She practically sped out of the school parking lot straight to her home. She decided that since she would be staying put for the next three years she should call it her home. Hannah glanced at her rearview mirror to see a boy running after her car. She pulled over and rolled down her window. “Can you drive me home?” Matt asked out of breath. “Uh, Matt, we’re already three minutes away.” Hannah laughed. “Please, my legs hurt!” Matt pouted. “Fine, but you’re paying for the gas money.” Matt looked over at her with a disapproving look before getting in. “So, Mattie, how’s life?” Hannah said pulling into Sonny’s driveway. “Well, it’s been pretty good.” “Good.” Hannah said before taking the keys out of the ignition and getting out of her car. “Uh oh! Jason’s home. I gotta go!” Matt said running down the driveway. “Matt!” Hannah whined after him, “Why did you have to scare him away?” she asked her older cousin, Jason. “Sorry.” He mumbled before carrying the rest of his football equipment inside the garage. “So, how was football?” Hannah said trying to start up a lame conversation. She had found that it was getting easier to talk to her family. “Good, our running back broke his collar bone during practice.” He growled. “Wow, sounds like it hurts.” “It hurts the whole team. It’s going to cost us the game.” Hannah decided to leave her cousin in his bad mood and retreat to the house. “Well, hello. I beat you home!” Sonny said rubbing it into her face. They had started a game on who could get home the fastest. “Mr. Bearings it is very unattractive to gloat.” “Did you learn that fancy word in school?” “You would too if you paid attention.” Hannah said grabbing an apple and heading up the stairs. Her new bedroom was plain. It had white walls and the furniture was a dark mahogany. The bed spread on the bed had ugly little flowers on it. Eventually she knew she would change it but she was too lazy to do it now. She dropped her books on the floor and got out a fresh pair of clothes. She changed into her sweat pants and turned on the TV to see what was on. Trevor was at home talking to a girl. Not just any girl, Adrianne Mere. She was the most desperate girl in school, and that’s an understatement. He just had an empty space and he needed to fill the void. Luckily for him she was always on speed dial. “So, I’ll meet you at the movies? Kay bye.” Trevor said hanging up the phone and grabbing his keys. “Don’t do anything stupid.” Alex warned. “Yes, mom.” Trevor mocked him before walking out. He drove the empty street passing by Matt and Sonny’s houses. The town seemed dead and it was only eight at night. Trevor drove to the movie theatre that was right beside a coffee shop. “Hey Trevor.” Adrianne said walking over to him. They entered the theatre after they bought their tickets. Trevor’s arm snaked its way around Adrianne’s waist. It was the biggest cliché to see two kids making out at the movies. In the middle of the movie Trevor’s phone rang. “Hello? Uh, yeah I’ll be there, bye.” He said before hanging up. “I hate to do this but Alex needs me to get home, family crisis.” He said before kissing Adrianne goodbye. Trevor walked out of the theatre and head next door to the coffee shop. He took a seat at a table and turned his Ipod on while he waited. Hannah staid copped up in her room the rest of the night with Matt, Sonny, and Alex who invited himself over. He claimed to be lonely at his house. “Stop trying to eat my hand!” Hannah said hitting Matt upside the head. “Ouchies, that hurt.” “She use to play volleyball.” Sonny shared. “I was pretty darn good!” she bragged. “I wrote a song!” Matt said smiling. “Oh, I want to hear!” Alex jumped. “Fine it goes like this. I like hot coco, Alex goes loco, for Hannah’s cupcakes, your face, I-“ “Um, Matt maybe you should stop.” Hannah said stuffing a pillow in his mouth. Matt pouted. “You didn’t like it?” he said in disbelief. “Why don’t we let Chase handle the lyrics?” Sonny said. “I’m sad, I think I’ll go hurl myself off the roof. “ Matt pouted. “Aw it was a good try.” Hannah comforted him. “Yeah, yeah.” “I’m hungry.” Alex whined. “We should get take-out from the Dinner Diner.” Sonny said getting up. “I’ll come with you.” Matt said following him. “Yay! Now I get to hang out with my bestest friend!” Alex said hugging Hannah. She laughed but then tried to squirm out of his grasp. Alex wouldn’t let go of her so she grabbed the closest pillow to her and started bashing him with it. Alex retaliated by hitting her with some pink fuzzy slippers sitting in the corner. Hannah started laughing hysterically because the pink fuzzies kept getting in Alex’s mouth. She was finally able to pin Alex down and take the fuzzy slippers away from him. “Wow, only a week here and you’re already on top of my brother.” Trevor smirked walking in. “This coming from the guy with pink lip gloss smeared all over his cheek.” Hannah retorted standing up. “I thought you had a date?” Alex said confused. “I did, I had three.” Trevor said drinking the pre-owned Hannah rolled her eyes. She knew guys like Trevor back at home. She knew exactly how guys like that worked from personal experience. She had gotten hurt a lot by those guys. Maybe because one of them was her dad. Trevor sat down at the table with a bacon sandwich. This was exactly what he needed. “Greasy, fat goodness.” He said enjoying the chunk he had ripped out of it. “I’m not hungry anymore.” Hannah said getting up and walking towards the stairs. Trevor watched her walk up them and into her room. “What’s with her?” Matt asked. “I think it’s her time of the month.” Sonny replied. That seemed to be the explanation every time Hannah was anything but happy. “Ew, not while I’m eating!” Alex said hitting him with a ketchup package. “It was open you son of a –“ “Sonny Bearings watch your language.” His mom said walking in. “How was Jason’s football game?” Alex asked. “Wait, Jason’s here! I got to go.” Matt said running out with the sandwich in hand. Sonny shrugged. “Well, you know his team always wins.” His mom said handing Sonny some money. “What’s this for?” “Well, you kept the house clean while I was gone and nothing seems to be on fire.” She said ruffling his hair. “I wish my mom gave me money everytime I kept the house clean.” Trevor pouted. “I’m sorry your mom isn’t off the heezy.” Sonny smiled. “She might not be off the heezy but she is the bomb!” Alex exclaimed. “And you say I’m not supposed to talk like that.” Mrs. Bearings chuckled. “We should head home.” Trevor said nudging Alex. “I’m still eating my sandwich.” Alex whined. “I swear sometimes you act just like Sanger Smith.” “Who’s that?” Alex said getting out of his chair forcibly by Trevor. Hannah had lost her appetite after thinking about everything her dad put her through. She curled up on her bed and thought about it. She had turned on This Providence to drown out the sounds of her crying. No matter what he had done he was still her dad. She just wished he was a better person sometimes. With a heavy heart Hannah fell asleep. Her head aching with memories and her heart re-breaking.
