I have no personal experience of suicide, but here is my view, ideas about the act.

Life

Cut short with the sound of a gun

The bullet taking away the woes and the joys of Life

A single moment in a Lifetime of moments

The time was right he said

He was ready he said

But what of the others?

The ones he left behind?

The ones who had to live without him?

Such a selfish act, even after years of commitment

The life of not just a single man

But the life of those around him

Cut short with the sound of a gun

Nicely done. Good commentary on suicide. I agree with this wholeheartedly. Those left behind are the ones who have to deal with this loss, it's completely selfish to do such a thing. Expressive and powerful. I loved the repetition of "cut short with the sound of a gun." Well done.
