Perfect

Perfect

A Poem by Sara
"

It's been a terrible two weeks for us, hasn't it?

"

I want to go back to when things were perfect.

When there were no problems

When it was just us, and no one else.

This thread we’ve pulled has made a gap.

Now this gap feels like an abyss.

We’re both in the dark and struggling,

Reaching out and trying to find one another.

But we keep stumbling and moving further away.

You lost something precious to you.

I would die to get it back

But it’s too late and I can’t.

I’m so sorry.

My wounds reopened and are bleeding again.

My happiness is fading all from a simple note.

But someday it will be mended.

I love you.

This pain, this distance, is slowly killing me.

I cry every night for you.

I yearn for you to help me make this right.

Please my love,

Help me make us perfect again.
