It's a dog eat dog world, ain't it? And it's too bad,
I have to say it, I'm at the bottom! Ain't it grand!
Only others with me can truly understand.
They say kindness goes a long way, but cruelty goes much farther!
I just tend to stay away, it makes things much better.

This world wasn't made for me, but it wasn't made for you either.
It was made for a******s, cheats, and liars!
 But don't despair,
just laugh! Everyone's time comes to pass!

So just put a smile on your face, even if it's fake.
If hope seems lost, it's not too late. Hope's a lie and so is faith.
Remember life, it doesn't change, so live it now! Don't wait!

Everyone's time, comes to pass, whether you be first, second or last
Life's not a race, it's a waiting game. Being happy is everyone's aim!
To bad, we all can't be happy, though, but that don't matter, life ain't woe.
Woe is me, and woe is you, woe is the rich and poor too. But life isn't woe,
Life is just life. It happens, just happens, so it has to be right!

I'm trying to write more 'lyric like' poems. I want to start a punk funk grunge rock band all by my lonesome self. How to write good lyrics? :3

Ah yes, the mastered art of the fake smile. A skill i know all too well how to perform. It has a wonderful flow to it so it really could easily be translated over into a lyric. Nice work.
