Are you really superior?

Are you really superior?

So why do you think, you're so much better than me?
Is it because I am stupid, ugly, or in poverty?
I think that you're lost, lost in a sea
Lost in this sea, so far away from me.

Why can't you? Why can't you see?
This world isn't made, for just you and me.
We don't have a clue, not one, not any!
So don't pretend, because you just look silly.

I laugh in your face, you punch me in mine
Is being a maniac really a crime?
I think we're all maniacs in our day and time.
And I think, why not? Being a maniacs fine.

So how 'bout instead, you just be my friend?
Whether or not, our lives will still end.
So let's try to just make the best
Just give up on being the best
Because sorry to burst your bubble
You're not.

Interesting. Definitely the cry for sanity in all of us. If we all stopped fighting long enough to realize we're all alike . . . well, this world would be a better place

Although i like it I was kinda thrown off by the last few lines in the first stanza. What sea are you lost in? It seems wierd that you are both there together and yet in the first lines you were kind of alienated from one an other, you in your world and her in hers judging yours. Perhaps you could try, "lost in a sea, far away from me" or something like that, i don't know just a thought, maybe it's just my interpretation
