Changeover

A poem I wrote after a sleepless night.

serrated schisms.
colors of unrest.
frigid morning matures.
hallowed identity revealed, reborn, redeemed.

dirt slips from silver.

floating flotsam congregates.
tessellating tinsel.
majestic creation glimpsed by filmy eyes.
heavenly laughter seeps through gloom.

red wine through cloth napkin.

parallel universes promenade in flux.
earth trembles beneath unmerciful honesty.
sky wipes flames from it’s chin.
memories die in chasm fires.

babes and elders in Hades’ caress.

emotion and marrow,
schematics and names,
sinking darker in their frames
until even shame becomes shadow.

all dreams wake.
all waking sleeps.

morning strangled.
struggles ensue.

day begins, bathed well with dew.
