Faded SmilesA Poem by Xander West
Faded Smiles
What once was the perfect beauty beholding for all to see, has faded as the last rays of a summer sunset into the evening night. For while the night's stars are treasures to adore sparkling as they dance to heaven's melody, I for one truly miss tranquil smiles basking in glory sending all into flight. Yet, in the winter's days my love's smiles have faded away, leaving adoring fools to yearn for a moment's glimmer, to admire upon such a smile is truly perfection's day. Wisp away from aching hearts, all held dear sacrificed, for you refuse to yield but yet seek to conquer life, yet such lovely smiles have faded from my adoring sight. While blue eyes of magnificent churning seas may charm the oceans into tiding apart, I for one seek loving smiles that set life's pain wholly right. Yet, in the winter's night's my love's smiles have fade away, how to heal an aching heart when such sacrifice steals her smile's light. Words may capture the most eloquent moment for all of eternity, yet her smile has faded away lost as the sun setting over a never-ending sea. For what good are words when hearts ache to longingly adore, dreary days pass slowly away, each morning arise in search of faded smiles. Yet, life's journey wears upon her aching heart, for heavy are the pains of each unrelenting mile. Holding dear memories of perfection's smile, she trudges on, my love shoulders such sacrifices, to give all held dear even if only for a while. Such courage we adore, for no heart beats without the aches of life, I for one truly miss such a heavenly smile. If only my words could heal aching hearts, to return my love's faded smiles, to piece together what was all torn apart. The world needs her faded smiles, perfection's melody beholds the touch of her smile upon our hearts. © 2018 Xander West |
